We developed a CAD-integrated configuration tool that automatically generates optimized positioner design proposals from requirements like load and height in less than a minute. Created as a case study in Autodesk Inventor, the tool uses optimization algorithms and metamodels to accelerate early-stage engineering. It enables Yaskawa Nordic to conduct instant feasibility studies and generate rapid quotation estimates, cutting design time and providing a solid starting point for development.

Detta examensarbete undersöker tillverkningsflödet för aluminiumprofilen Rear Member vid ProfilGruppen AB, med fokus på att identifiera väntetider, slöseri och förbättringsmöjligheter i produktionen. Genom värdeflödesanalys, tidsstudier och produktionsdata analyseras hela flödet från pressning till leveranslager. Resultatet visar hur produktionen kan effektiviseras genom minskade mellanlager, kortare ledtid och mer standardiserade arbetssätt.

We designed and built a portable predictive maintenance device for conveyor rollers to prevent costly unplanned downtime in manufacturing environments. Working with NKT HV Cables, our multi-modal sensor tool successfully detected early mechanical degradation by combining vibration, acoustic, and thermal data. This validated prototype offers a reliable, low-cost approach to reducing material waste and financial losses on the factory floor.
