Academic celebration!

During the Blekinge Institute of Technology academic celebration ceremony for 2025 we had several reasons to be proud.

The main event was of course that new Vice Chancellor Henric Johnson was installad by previous VC Mats Viberg.

From Mechanical Engineering we had Alessandro Bertoni that was promoted to Professor in Mechanical Engineering. (Installation talk placeholder here).

Ryan Ruvald (PhD event) and Yan Zhang (PhD presentation event) got their insignia; hat, ring and diploma for having finalized their PhD’s. Omsri Aeddula also finalized PhD during 2024 but was not present at the ceremony.

Mats Sigvant and Shafiqul Islam got their diplomas for being promoted to Docent.

Besides that we were also happy for the insignias for Mårten Silvanius (Systems Engineering) and Johan Flyborg (Applied Health Technology) who had Professor Tobias Larsson as a supervisor also in a collaborative effort.

The ceremony was held in Fredrikskyrkan and it was a nice backdrop for the event. The evening party then moved to BTH at Campus Gräsvik.

During the dinner Alessandro held the talk from installed professors.
