Challenge: To come up with a solution for VOLVO CE machinery in extreme conditions

Solution: Our solution was to create a 360 LiDAR system that maps the surrounding and detects obsticles and dangers nearby so enhance the safety when visability is limited, especially in post wildfire scenarios with a lot of particles and smoke in the air. In addition, a Augmented Reality system displays the obstacles on the windscreens for the operator to more easily manuver the machine.

Impact: The system enhances visability and therefore also saftey for the operator

Prototypes: We did not make an actual prototype. We did an experiment with a 360 LiDAR to test if particles in the air affects the ability to scan the surrounding
