<\/a><\/p>\nENDREA’s focus was\u00a0on developing, adapting and implementing theories and methods for managing and conducting world class product development in the manufacturing industry. In order to do this ENDREA had\u00a0three focus areas:<\/p>\n

- Engineering Design Theory and Methodology (DTM),<\/li>\n
- Simulation and Digital Prototyping (SDP) and<\/li>\n
- Engineering Management (EM).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The ultimate goal of the program was\u00a0to integrate results from these areas, thereby achieving a holistic approach to product development.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Those were the days. Professor Larsson 5th from right top row, as new PhD candidate in ENDREA.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Endrea during early 2000 transformed into the ProViking programme and this concluded in 2013.<\/p>\n
Over the years there was +100 PhD candidates involved and some 1000 research papers produced, and today we find several of the previous students indeed in leading academic and industrial positions. Goal achieved! Professor Tobias Larsson of BTH was one of the original PhD students in the national programme, graduating 1996-2001 with a PhD in Computer Aided Design at Lule\u00e5 University of Technology.<\/p>\n
