During the AI Sweden research collaboration kick-off at BTH, we presented preliminary results from Re:Create – AI technologies for the Creative Sectors of Sweden, where BTH Product Development Research Lab is a partner.
The creative industries in Sweden contribute with ~3% of GDP, while at the same time being highly impacted by emergent AI technologies reshaping the industrial production landscape.
In the Re:create project led by Martina Eriksdotter, BTH and AI Sweden have provided support to Sweden’s creative sectors (architecture/construction, industrial design, textile manufacturing/fashion, film production) to develop concepts and prototypes grounded in sector-specific domain knowledge.
One early result has been the works under Andrea Nordwall with the first batch of BA theses by BTH students developing AI-assisted VFX pipelines and architectural visualization, in collaboration with major industry actors (The Chimney Pot, Tengbom etc.) and utilizing both the graphic and visual capacity of the Virtual Production Studio Lab infrastructure at BTH.
