Outreach October, sharing in focus...
During the month of October, staff from mechanical engineering and the Product Development Research Lab been engaged in several outreach activities. See the full PDRL web for all the activities, below you find three items with direct links.
Research: We've taken part in the cluster initiative Virtual Nation (http://virtualnation.se/) where we jointly work with other Swedish partners on the focus area of simulation. A day of discussion on model driven strategies, and also some test driving of Volvo cars.
Education: Together with Volvo CE and Stanford, we kicked off the Global ME310 Design Innovation project. This year the focus will be on autonomy and the interaction with humans.
The time is getting closer to form thesis topics for this years master theses. We have engineers with focus on engineering analysis (lena.prinselaar@bth.se), mechanical engineering (lena.prinselaar@bth.se), industrial economy (gunilla.akesson.nilsson@bth.se), innovative product development (christian.m.johansson@bth.se) and design thinking (christian.m.johansson@bth.se). Look at our programme and thesis page, and contact us with ideas for projects, as we aim to close this late november, early december, and start in January.
Collaboration: We're building an innovation arena at BTH with our research/education strategy at the core. We want students, researchers, and corporate partners to jointly have areas for project work, and possible innovation startups. Contact person here is Associate Professor Andreas Larsson.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you have anything on your mind!
All the best, Tobias (tlr@bth.se), +4670-5119416
