On the last week of July I was invited as guest lecturer (on the topics of PSS Innovation and Sustainability) in Trento at the EIT ICT Labs Summer School, which is part of the innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) education of the EIT ICT Labs Master School.

The EIT ICT Labs Masters Programme is a two-year programme involving 19 European top universities (Aalto, KTH, Trento, Delft and Eindhoven among them), partnering to provide technical excellence leading to two master’s degrees, the EIT ICT Labs Master’s Certificate and hands-on experience.

The School has brought students together for two weeks  to work in groups on a business development process in the context of a societal relevant thematic area, which this year was “design and services for the culture and quality of life”.  More than 50 students have teamed and challenged their minds on developing service ideas and effective business plans, with emphasis on ways of improving the quality of life for both elderly people who need some specific assistance and younger people either on their business or leisure activities.

Overall, with no exceptions, I lectured in front of very motivated students. Not only: while tutoring after the class I could admire how curious, skilled and cross functional they are. Also, It is the first time I found a picture of myself tweeted while I am having a class. Pretty cool ;-).
